Life of Jesus Story #13 from the Jesus Storybook Bible  #1
Filled full (The feeding of the 5,000 from Matthew 14 Mark  6 Luke 9 part 1
¨       There were once 5,000 tired and hungry and probably very  grumpy people sitting on a
¨       hillside wanting their dinner. They'd come to hear Jesus that day. They came before
¨       breakfast stayed all morning all afternoon and way past dinner. No one had meant
¨       to be out there that long but that's how it was listening to Jesus as if time didn't exist.
¨       People could listen to Jesus for hours and on this particular day that's just what they did.
¨       But they hadn't brought enough food and they couldn't just go and buy themselves a burger
¨       and fries to go because of course they were in the middle of nowhere with no shops or restaurants
¨       (Beside that kind of food wasn't invented yet.) What would they do? Jesus friends had an idea.
¨       ''Let's send everyone home for dinner.'' ''They don't need to go'' Jesus said. ''You can give them something to  eat.''
¨       Did Jesus want them to travel all the  way to town and buy food for everyone Jesus friends panicked But we don't have enough money.''
¨       What food do you have? Jesus asked Go and see. Now there was a little boy in the crowd.
¨       He had brought a lunch that his mother had made for him that morning. He looked at his five loaves and two fish. It wasn't much not nearly enough for 5,000 but was all  he had. ''I have some.'' he said.
¨       Jesus friends laughed when they saw his little lunch. that's not nearly enough they said.
¨       But they were wrong Jesus knew it didn't matter how much the little boy had. God would make it enough more than enough.

Life of Jesus   Story  #12 Bedtime Bible Devotions 1
''Anyone who listens to my teaching and  obeys me is wise like a person who builds a house on solid rock.'' Matthew 7:24
·         Jesus taught there are two kinds of food.
·         The food for our body is very important.
·         It should be healthy food because it
·         builds our bodies If we use bad food our
·         bodies will be unhealthy. Foods with too
·         much sugar and fat can't build a healthy body.
·         There is also food for our soul. The best
·         food for our soul is Jesus.
·         When we believe in Jesus.
·         He is food to our soul and makes our spirits strong.
·         We also have two kinds of houses.

A Blind man sees again Mark 10:46-52
·         Sick people followed Jesus everywhere.
·         They wanted Him to heal them.
·         One man who was blind
·         heard that Jesus was walking by.
·         He cried out Jesus please help me.
·         People told the man to be quiet but
·         Jesus asked the man what
·         would like me to do for you.

·         Philip came from the lakeside town of Bethsaida As soon as Jesus called him he went off to find his friend Bartholomew.
·         Bartholomew also called Nathanael. Jesus told Bartholomew you are a true man of Israel. There is nothing false in you.
·         Matthew also called Levi Matthew was a tax collector. Who worked for the Romans.
·         James and John these brothers were also fisherman. Jesus nicknamed them the sons of thunder because they had bad tempers.
·         Simon was a zealots believed in fighting to get rid of the Romans.
·         Thomas is sometimes known us Doubting Thomas because at first he would not believe Jesus had risen from the dead.
·         James was the sons of Alphaeus.
·         Thaddeus he was also called Judas son of James.

·         Who was Judas Iscariot? Judas Iscariot loved money more than Jesus. He looked after the only disciple's money. It was Judas who betrayed Jesus. In the end he killed himself.
