Praise the greatness  of our God he is the rock his works are perfect and His ways are just. Does it seem kind of funny to be commanded to praise God. Well sometimes people get so caught up in their problems that they forget how great God is. All they see imperfections in their lives and they forget that his works are perfect.

Take your focus off yourself and your problems and think about God. Remember the accounts in the Bible of how He took care His people Remember the ways He takes care of you.

Think about His creation from a tiny flower to mountain canyon  and oceans. God is amazing. Remember to praise Him  for His perfect works and just ways.

Abigail- Wife of a mean man named Nabal. Nabal was rude to David's servants. That made David angry. Abigail was sorry about her husband's attitude. She packed up a tasty feast for David and his servants. Then she hurried off to find them. David was kind to Abigail and he forgave Nabal Later after Nabal died, Abigail and David got married. 
Almond-A kind of nut tree. If you go to Israel you might see orchards of almond trees. They bloom in January Then  they produce lots of flavorful nuts.

The Servant King The LORD'S SUPPER 3
Quickly Jesus got up from the table took off his robe, picked up a basin of water knelt down and
started wash his friends feet. You can't Peter said He didn't understand about Jesus being the Servant king. If you don't let me wash away the dirt Peter. Jesus said you can't be close to me. Jesus knew that what people needed most  was to be
clean on the inside. All the dirt on their
feet was nothing compared to the sin inside their hearts. Then wash me Lord Peter said tears filling his eyes All of me. One by one Jesus washed everyone feet. I am doing this because I love you. Jesus explained Do this for each others.

Jesus picked up some bread and broke it. He gave it his friends He picked up a cup of wine and thanked God for it. He poured it out and shared it.

give them food.

is no place to even
buy food. Jesus' friend
Andrew brought a little boy

He has two little fishes. How
can such a little lunch feed so

The little boy gave
Jesus his lunch 
Jesus smiled and 
said. Thank you.
Then Jesus said
Have everyone 
sit on the grass.

He thanked God for the
little lunch. Jesus gave
pieces of bread and fish
to His friend. Jesus friends
gave food to each girl 
boy woman and man.
The food did not get 
used up. There was plenty
for everyone.
Jesus feeds  5,000-5
Jesus told His friends
to gather up the leftovers
They gathered up Twelve
baskets of food.
Jesus had made 
enough food
and more besides.

The Story of the Vineyard 1
Jesus told another story: A man planted
a vineyard and built a winery there.
He then rented the vineyard and went
into another country.

At harvest, the servants arrived
to collect his share of fruit. But
the renter beat one servant. They
killed another and stoned a third.
The man sent more servants but
they were treated the same. Finally
he sent his son. They'll respect my son.

Here comes the owner's son
said the renters Someday this
vineyard will be his. Let's
kill him. Then the land 
will be his. Let's kill him then 
land will be ours So they tackled 
him and killed him. Answer this continued Jesus. When the owner comes what  will he do to those
villains to death. They answered He'll rent the vineyard to people who's give him fruit on the room.

Right said Jesus So God's kingdom 
will be taken away from you. It will
kingdom will be who produce the
kingdom's fruit. The leading priest
heard his story. They knew Jesus
was talking about them and
wanted to arrest him. But they 
couldn't because the people saw
Jesus as a prophet.

Jesus in the Temple

Jesus in the Temple-1
Jesus arrived in triumph at the very walls of the huge temple area.  He had a good look around but as it was evening and Jerusalem was packed to overflowing they went back to their Bethany friends for the night.

Next morning Jesus returned to
the temple. The first big area 
or court was open to all. But
this was the only part where
non-jews called Gentiles were allowed
to go A big notice warned them to go
to further on pain of the death.

This court should have 
been a quiet place where
people could come 
to pray and learn
about true God.

Jesus was horrified at the scene
that met his eyes and ears. There was 
a deafening hubbub of noise 
Sheep bleated cows lowed and birds
twittered while traders shouted hoarsely.
Jesus was very angry that the poor should be 
cheated and that God's house should be turned
into a dishonest market.    

   

Palm Sunday The Big Procession-

Palm Sunday The Big Procession-1 The city of Jerusalem was seething with people. Jews from near and far were arriving for the week long Passover festival. Just when it seemed that the narrow streets could hold no more fresh batches of pilgrims surged in.
Palm Sunday The Big Procession-2 The city was buzzing with the latest story about Jesus. He had actually brought back to life a man who had been dead and buried for four days. As soon as news arrived that Jesus was on his way, an excited crowd set off to meet him. Jesus and his disciples had come as far as Bethany.
Palm Sunday The Big Procession-3 Go into the village Jesus told two of his disciples. Bring me the young donkey you'll find tied up near his mother. If anyone asks what you are up to tell them that the Master needs him and soon send him back. 
Palm Sunday The Big Procession 4 The disciples did as Jesus said When the bystanders heard that it was Jesus who wanted the donkey they gladly let him go. When they had brought him to Jesus the disciples spread their coats on the donkey's back to make  a saddle. The donkey was not frightened when Jesus climbed onto his back even though no one had ever ridden him before. He stepped proudly forward and the pilgrims who had journeyed with Jesus began to jostle and  cheer as they all as they  began the steep climb into the city.
Palm Sunday The Big Procession 5 Long ago the prophet Zechariah had foretold that one day the true King would come not galloping on a  war horse but riding a peaceful donkey. Jesus was showing all who had eyes to see that he was that King entering  his capital  in peace. The crowd from Jerusalem hurried down to join the new arrival and the whole huge procession moved  forward again with cheers and shouts. Some went ahead and threw down their cloaks to make a royal road for Jesus. Others stripped branches from the trees to the path. Hosanna they shouted Save  us now God The long-promised King has come God bless the one who comes in the name of the  Lord. At last the little donkey with the King on his back entered the streets of  Jerusalem.

When you pass through the waters I will be with you and when you pass through  the rivers. They will not sower over you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned. The flames will not set you ablaze For I am the Lord your God.

Sometimes life stinks your
parents fight a lot or 
your dad drinks and
you're of him. There
isn't money to buy food
let alone new clothes. CD's 
or other cool things.
Yeah sometimes life
stinks It can feel like
the bad things are weights
that hold you down.

DOWN BUT NOT OUT 3
Is it hard to find God in the
middle of all that These bible
verses promise that bad things
won't hold you down forever.
If you turn to God He
loves you He won't
let you go. Ask Him for help
