At the Sight of the Messiah

At the sight of the Messiah:

The Community was disturbed and diluted (Matthew 2:3). Our communities and towns, our governments and peoples are still disturbed at the nativity. People cannot stand it that what we celebrate at Christmas, it is the birth of Christ.

The Cosmos declared His Deity (Matthew 2:7). Unique events in the heavens and the earth pointed to the Christ so that all could see.

Why the Shepherds?

Jesus left all the splendor of heaven to be born in a manger, meaning a trough. He was a humble Savior. He was a helpless Savior, no room to stay (Luke 2:12) and He was a Heavenly Savior. He said I will prepare a mansion for you and you could not just open the door for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He wore swaddling clothes and a robe marred with blood, but he clothed you in His righteousness. He was despised but the heavens rejoice over one repented sinner. He was beaten beyond His body could bear but he we are healed by His strips. He wore the crown of thorns by gave us the crown of life. He was hung amidst thieves but He has invited you to a banquet. He was born to die to bring life into your dead soul.

What have you got to offer the King this Christmas?
