God Hears Hannah
Hannah had no children
not one. That made
her very sad.
Every year Hannah and her
husband worshipped God at the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle was the big tent where God's people prayed to God. One day Hannah whispered to God Please give me a son. I'll teach him to love and obey you. Please give me a baby. Months later baby Samuel was born.
Hannah took good care of him. Then Samuel grew older. Hannah took him in the Tabernacle.
Crossing the River
God's people were camped
by the Jordan River.
Across the river they
could see land God had
promised them.
But the water in the river
was deep. It was fast It was scary.
There were no boats and no bridges.
And no one could swim across that fast river.

God's promise to Abraham

God spoke to a man

went with him.
In Canaan both Abram
and Lot became rich.
They had large herds of cattle.
There was not enough
pasture for so many animals.
