 John the Baptist prepares the way
Matthew  3:1-4 In those days John Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he who was spoken of by the  prophet Isaiah when he said The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord make his paths straight.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps[a] and went to meet the bridegroom.[b] 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

 Herod kills the Children Matthew 2:16-18 Then Herod when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men became furious and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem  and he sent and killed all that region who were two years old or  under according to the time he had ascertained from the wise men. Then was fulfiled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah: A voice was heard in Ramah weeping and loud lamention Rachel weeping for her children she refused to be comforted because they are no more.

 The Flight to Egypt Matthew 2:13-14
Now when they had departed behold  an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, Rise take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt and remain there until tell you for Herod is about to search for the child to destroy him. And he rose and took to search for the child to by night and departed to Egypt and remained there until the  death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet Out of Egypt I called my son.

 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.” 9 After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, rthey offered him gifts, sgold and tfrankincense and umyrrh. 12 And vbeing warned win a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

 

The Visit of the Wise Men  Part 2

Matthew 2:5-7

They told him in Bethelem of Judea for so it is written by the prophet. And you O Bethelem in the land of Judah are by no means least among the rulers of Judah from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Isreal. Then Herod summoned  the wise men secretly and ascertained from time the star had appeared.  

 

 The Birth of Jesus Christ Part 2 Matthew 1:24-25

When Joseph woke from sleep he did as the angel of  the Lord commanded him  he took his wife. But knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

The Visit of the Wise Men  Part 1 Matthew 2:1-3

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king behold wise men from the  east came to Jerusalem saying Where is he who been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and  have come to worship When Herod the king heard this he was troubled and all Jerusalem with him and assembling all the chief priest and scribes of the people he injured of them where the Christ was to be born.

 

The Birth of Jesus Christ Matthew 1:18-23 part 1

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph before they came together she was found be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph being a just man and unwilling to put to shame resolved to divorce her quietly. But as considered these those behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying Joseph son of David do not fear to take Mary as your wife for  that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son and you shall call name Jesus his people from their sins. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet Behold the virgin shall call his name Immanuel which means God with us.
