Fishing fish and fishermen Most fishing in Palestine was done in the Sea of Galilee which was a large Inland lake. On a calm day over three hundred fishing boats might have fished for the twenty or so different kinds of fish that live there At least seven of Jesus’ twelve apostles were fisherman.
