It is the most important book in the whole world. In the Bible God tells us what He is like He tells us what He wants us to do. He shows us the way to eternal life. 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
He guides me along the right paths

4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

The Watcher from the tree 1
Luke 19
Jesus and his disciples were on their way to Jerusalem for the
Passover festival. Jesus knew that it would be his last journey
there. Other pilgrims joined them as they came near to the
beautiful city of Jericho. All around was barren dessert and
the waste land by the Dead Sea where no green thing grew.
But because of its freshwater springs, Jericho was green with
sweet smelling balsam trees and fruitful date palms. Tax collectors
made a good living in that city and none more than Zacchaeus
their chief. But he was not happy although he was rich. Everyone
despised and insulted him. They knew that he lined his pocket
with their hard earned money as well as passing it on the hated Roman Rulers.

Christ died for us while we were still sinners. In this way God shows his great love for us.
You know that Christ came to take away sins. There is no sin in Christ.
Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross.
This is how we know what real love is Jesus gave his life for us.
